DON'T BE ANOTHER STATISTIC.

October is here. Is your health still a priority?

Football season. School schedules. Kids' sports. Work commitments. Holiday planning.

Sound familiar?

October is the beginning of one of the busiest times of the year. Our calendars start filling up, weekends disappear, and somehow we find time for everything and everyone.

Except ourselves.

The morning walks become less frequent. The workout classes get pushed to next week. We're eating on the run, sleeping less, feeling more stressed, and telling ourselves the same thing:

"I'll get back on track after the holidays."

But here's the question.

Why does taking care of yourself have to be the first thing you give up when life gets busy?

HERE'S YOUR WAKE-UP CALL.

According to a new CDC report released in April 2026, MORE THAN HALF of American adults aren't getting the recommended amount of aerobic physical activity.

And it gets worse.

A Gallup study published in January 2026 found that more than 1 in 4 adults hadn't exercised for 30 minutes on a single day during the previous week.

Not once.

Now ask yourself: When was the last time you intentionally set aside time to move your body?

Not running errands. Not cleaning the house. Not rushing between commitments.

Time that was just for YOU.

Because being busy doesn't automatically mean you're taking care of your health.

And the longer you put yourself last, the easier it becomes to keep doing it.

We're so focused on getting through our schedules that we forget how much better we might feel if we made ourselves part of them.

JANUARY IS NOT A MAGIC RESET BUTTON.

Think about it.

October turns into November.

Thanksgiving turns into Christmas.

And before you know it, we're making New Year's resolutions to rebuild the routines we stopped prioritizing three months earlier.

But what if we didn't?

What if, instead of spending the last three months of the year putting our health on hold, we spent them taking care of ourselves?

You don't need a perfect routine.

You don't need to work out seven days a week.

You don't need to overhaul your entire life.

Just 30 minutes of moderate physical activity, five days a week, plus muscle-strengthening activities twice a week.

That's a realistic place to start.

And maybe your first step is simply protecting one hour on a Saturday morning.

ONE HOUR.
JUST FOR YOU.

Think about how quickly we give an hour away.

An hour scrolling our phones. An hour watching football. An hour waiting at a practice. An hour doing something for someone else.

But one hour dedicated to ourselves?

Suddenly we're too busy.

Here's your reminder: You are allowed to be a priority in your own life.

Your health deserves a place on your calendar, too.

An hour in the morning to move, breathe, clear your head, and connect with people who make you feel good shouldn't be something you have to earn.

It should be something you look forward to.

And it might just change how you approach the rest of your weekend.

THIS IS WHY WE CREATED SELF LOVE SATURDAY.

At Healthy Habit, we believe wellness goes beyond the food on your plate.

It's about how you feel. How you move. How you connect with others. And most importantly, how you show up for yourself.

Self Love Saturday was created to make putting yourself first a little easier.

One morning to step away from your schedule and do something that makes you feel good.

This Saturday, October 17, Courtney, owner of Alora Aesthetics and instructor from Blue Sky Pilates, is joining us in the plaza for an hour of Pilates, fresh air, great energy, and community.

No pressure. No expectations. No commitments.

Just an opportunity to move your body and remind yourself what it feels like to make YOU a priority. Because the holidays are going to be busy whether you take care of yourself or not.

So why not go into them feeling stronger, healthier, and more connected to yourself?

Don't wait until January to start showing up for yourself.

And don't become another statistic.

YOUR SATURDAY. YOUR HEALTH. YOUR HOUR.
